The Echoes of Rust is a cinematic trailer for a mobile and desktop cyberpunk game set in a post-apocalyptic world where technology and decay coexist. Created using AI-generated imagery, composited in Adobe After Effects, with voice over and sound design powered by ElevenLabs.
We set out to create a world that feels both alien and familiar — a future built on the bones of our present. Every frame was crafted to tell a story of resilience, loss, and the haunting beauty of decay. The neon-lit ruins became characters themselves.
The project combined digital matte painting, 3D environment design, and cinematic compositing techniques. From initial concept sketches to the final color grade, every detail was obsessively refined to achieve photorealistic quality.
The soundtrack blends ambient electronic textures with industrial sounds — the hum of dying machines, the crackle of neon signs, distant echoes of a world that once was. Sound design was integral to building the film's immersive atmosphere.
